Senator Marshall Applauds Release of MAHA Strategy Report

Washington – On Tuesday, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), released a statement applauding Health and Human Services Secretary (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Strategy Report, which focused on the health of our children.

“For years, families, teachers, and doctors have been sounding the alarm that American children are getting sicker, faster. Finally, we have an administration that is willing to battle the chronic disease epidemic that’s besetting our children and understand the root causes,” said Senator Marshall. “Today’s MAHA report is not drastic – it’s common sense and sets our children up for the healthy future they deserve.”

As the founding member and Chairman of the MAHA Caucus, Senator Marshall has introduced legislation and pushed for a stronger focus on holistic health approaches, treating food as medicine, improving soil health, and looking beyond pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines to treat the root causes of America’s chronic health issue epidemic.

This has included:

  • The Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act amends the Richard Russell National School Lunch Act to allow schools participating in the program to serve whole and reduced milk as part of the National School Lunch Program.
  • The Dairy Nutrition Incentive Program Act of 2025 would increase access to dairy products for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants, allowing them to purchase more milk, cheese, and yogurt with their benefits.
  • The Dietary Guidelines Reform Act of 2025 will amend the National Nutrition Monitoring & Related Research Act of 1990 and modernize the development of federal dietary guidelines with up-to-date, evidence-based nutritional information.
  • The Plant Biostimulant Act establishes a standardized process for approving the commercial use of plant biostimulants as alternatives to synthetic pesticides and fertilizers.
