Washington – On Thursday, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), joined Newsmax to discuss Charlie Kirk’s legacy and the growth of Turning Point USA since his assassination, the firing of Jimmy Kimmel by ABC/Disney, the Senate HELP hearing, and what’s next for the MAHA movement.

On what’s next for Turning Point USA:

“Well, good morning, everybody. Yeah, I mean, Charlie Kirk was Elvis to these youngsters out there, especially strong Conservatives as well. He was the turning point when a younger generation stood up and said enough on these college campuses, where he stood up to the wokeness there. He was one of the very first people to point it out, but Charlie Kirk died a hero. He died a martyr.

“And I think that, you know, even up here in Capitol Hill, I see especially these youngsters, I say youngsters, you know, they’re 20, they’re 30 something, trying to carry on Charlie’s mission. And my chief, last night just texted me, ‘this is the last communication our office had with Charlie,’ an issue I’m not going to go into right now, but something that Charlie cared about, and we are just committed to fulfilling his mission going forward. So you know the Libs that killed Charlie Kirk? You know we’re not done yet. We’re going to honor his life, fulfill his mission, and bring life to his long-term mission here.”

On the firing of Jimmy Kimmel:

“Yeah, well, hallelujah. I was thinking last night, as I saw that news, I thought back, what did Johnny Carson do with politics? What did Jay Leno do with politics? And by the way, they were both a lot funnier and more entertaining than Jimmy Kimmel.

“So they didn’t touch politics, is my point, and they certainly didn’t attack people personally like Mr. Kimmel did. So look, he was on his way to the bottom as far as ratings go, anyway. America was tired of that type of rhetoric. They were tired of basically him turning a show into another political agenda, and we just wish him the best. We’ll just be very polite here.”

On the Senate HELP Hearing with Dr. Monarez:

“I think what Dr. Monarez proved yesterday was that she was not on the same team as Bobby Kennedy Jr. This is nothing personal. What she believes, and what the traditional CDC believes, is that every person needs every vaccine. That every child needs, all 76 jabs. And I happen to believe that’s not true.

“I think when the CDC promotes that, thinking that every baby needs a Hepatitis vaccine on day number one, you start losing trust. That she doesn’t realize that she’s the problem. Then, when she started perpetuating and standing beside Anthony Fauci, lies during COVID, and then they continued to perpetuate lies about monkeypox, refusing to say that, look, that’s basically a sexually transmitted disease for gay men. That not every child needs a vaccine for monkeypox as well. So I think she doubled down on exactly why she doesn’t fit the model that Bobby Kennedy Jr wants to restore trust in the CDC, she was destroying trust.”

On what is next for the MAHA movement:

“Yeah, and certainly Secretary Kennedy wants a gold standard, a new type of calendar as far as when these childhood vaccines get there. But let’s work on our own immune systems as well. How do you build an immune system to face these viruses? What we learned during Covid is people that with diabetes, type two diabetes, especially with weak immune system succumbed to a virus. So we can build our own immune systems by having a healthy diet out there as well. We are so proud of what agriculture is doing to make their soil healthier and going to have more nutritious food, which is going to lead to stronger immune systems.”
