Sen. Marshall Announces Over $36,000 in USDA Rural Development Funding for City of Cherryvale

(Washington, D.C., April 7, 2021) – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. today announced $36,900 in USDA Rural Development funding for the city of Cherryvale. This grant will be used to increase public safety by purchasing a new patrol vehicle for the city’s police department.

“Supporting advancement in rural communities is vital to the success of our great state, and I applaud USDA’s investment in the city of Cherryvale,” said Senator Marshall. “Kansans deserve to rest easy at night knowing their community is well equipped to protect the safety of their neighbors and loved ones. These dollars are an important part of USDA’s efforts to promote public safety and ensure the success of rural America for years to come.”


This USDA Rural Development investment of $36,900 will be used to purchase a patrol vehicle with new patrol equipment to be used by the city of Cherryvale’s police department. This new vehicle will replace an older vehicle that has become too costly to maintain and has high mileage. This grant will provide the community with new and improved public safety.
