Sen. Marshall: Dr. Fauci has lost his reputation

(Washington, D.C., June 3, 2021) – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. today in an interview with WIBW, reacted to the release of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s emails saying in part:

“These emails are really damning. If there is a smoking gun out there, I think that these emails really point to the credibility of Dr. Fauci. What these emails show is that he was not being honest with the President or the American public; that he wasn’t being forthright; and that there wasn’t the transparency we were hoping for. A lot of his emails would suggest that he thought that this could have been leaked from the Wuhan lab – that the virus could have originated there… Dr. Fauci has lost his reputation. I don’t think he is going to be an effective advisor to the President and to the American public anymore…”

Background:

In January 2020, then Congressman Marshall was the first member of Congress to sound the alarm on the House floor about the spread of COVID-19. As a physician, he would later go on to serve on the frontlines as a volunteer treating patients in Wyandotte County and Seward County. Last week, Senator Marshall delivered remarks on the origins of COVID-19 on the Senate floor saying in part, “Sixteen months into the most catastrophic health disaster of our lifetime and we still have more questions than answers… The world deserves to know – and needs to know – where and how it started… And I’m here today to tell you the preponderance of evidence suggests this virus leaked from a lab in Wuhan. But first, let’s look at the mounting evidence suggesting COVID-19 is truly a super virus – the product of lab manipulations, including viral gain of function.” Click HERE or the image below to watch this excerpt of the speech.

Additionally last week, Senators Marshall and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) were able to pass their Resolution calling for a transparent investigation into the COVID-19 outbreak mandated by the World Health Assembly as a stand-alone bill. The bipartisan Resolution also demands a full, transparent investigation to include the U.S. and our allies and partners around the world if China continues on its path of cover-up and obfuscation. The bipartisan Marshall-Gillibrand Resolution can be viewed HERE. You may click HERE or on the image below to watch Senator Marshall speak on the Senate floor earlier this week about the resolution.

Senator Marshall recently penned an op-ed for FOX News about the importance of getting to the bottom of the origins of COVID-19. The Senator said in part, “In approximately two weeks, the U.S. will be represented at the World Health Assembly where we need to ally with all nations and fight for a full and unrestricted investigation of the origin of COVID-19. We must demand full access to all relevant records, samples, and key personnel. If bad actors continue to obfuscate and prevent this investigation from happening, we can’t take no for an answer. Regardless, Congress must start our own parallel investigation now.” You may click HERE to read Senator Marshall’s op-ed in its entirety.

Finally, Senator Marshall recently questioned Dr. Fauci at a Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) hearing about the origins of COVID-19. You may click HERE to watch the back and forth.
