Sen. Marshall Live from Southern Border on FOX News

(McAllen, Texas, May 22, 2022) – This morning, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. joined Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures live from McAllen, Texas, a town along the U.S.-Mexico border. Senator Marshall and five Kansas sheriffs have been in McAllen since May 19 for briefings with border patrol officials and to survey the ongoing immigration crisis.

During his appearance on Sunday Morning Futures, Senator Marshall described the worsening humanitarian situation on the southern border, saying in part,

“This is a human tragedy. At nighttime this looks like a warzone and there is a humanitarian crisis here that is lived out every day. Border patrol officers are simply overwhelmed and this is an unsustainable situation. Joe Biden needs to come down here and see this for himself. He needs to spend time on the Rio Grande River helping save migrants who have traveled thousands of miles. He needs to go up the interstate here and pick up people who have been traveling for two or three days without water. He needs to go talk the farmers and ranchers who are finding dead bodies on their property almost every day.”
