Sen. Marshall Named to U.S. Senate’s Top Panel on Government & Corporate Accountability

(Washington, D.C., February 10, 2023) – Following his appointment last week to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs (HSGAC), U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. announced today that he will serve on the Committee’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI). Senator Marshall issued the following statement regarding his appointment to this subcommittee:

“The unelected bureaucratic class in Washington should be on notice: corruption and the weaponization of the federal government will be under the full microscope. The COVID outbreak revealed both the unchecked power and the alarming coordination between government agencies and woke corporations. I’m excited to get to work and bring back accountability. We must expose the bad actors operating and implementing policy within federal agencies at the expense of U.S. taxpayers.”

Background on PSI:

The Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has broad jurisdiction to conduct oversight and investigations of the U.S. government; the compliance of companies, individuals and other entities with U.S. law; as well as other matters affecting the national health, welfare, and safety. The subcommittee has investigated organized crime, securities and commodities fraud, and the use of offshore banking to carry out criminal activities among many other issues.
