Senator Marshall Applauds HF Sinclair Project to Expand Refining Capabilities in El Dorado
El Dorado – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), today applauded HF Sinclair’s project at its El Dorado refinery, which will allow the facility to process an additional 10,000 barrels of crude oil per day, strengthening Kansas’s role in American energy production.
The project involves upgrades to the refinery’s vacuum furnace that will expand its ability to process heavier crude oil while improving operational reliability and product yields. The El Dorado refinery currently has a crude processing capacity of approximately 135,000 barrels per day, and supplies refined petroleum products to markets across the Plains and Colorado.
“It’s great to see my hometown of El Dorado continuing to lead the way in American energy production,” said Senator Marshall. “HF Sinclair’s investment will allow the refinery to process an additional 10,000 barrels of crude oil per day, strengthening our domestic refining capacity and our energy security. Investments like this are critical to keeping America energy independent and ensuring we can meet our nation’s growing energy needs. Having strong refining capacity right here in the heartland, not just along the coasts, is essential to building a more resilient energy network and protecting our national security.”
Senator Marshall has consistently advocated for policies that strengthen domestic energy production, reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens, and advance American energy independence.
