Senator Marshall Applauds McDonald’s $200M Investment in Regenerative Ranching

Washington – On Wednesday, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), released the following statement applauding McDonald’s announcement to invest $200 million in regenerative practices on US cattle ranches. Regenerative techniques focus on conserving water and enhancing soil health – reducing the need for synthetic chemicals and fertilizers.

“It is great to see such a large and influential company like McDonald’s invest $200 million in regenerative farming,” said Senator Marshall. “I have continued to emphasize that the bridge between MAHA and agriculture is soil health. Producing nutrient-dense foods begins with healthy soil, and I am thrilled to see this effort happening here on American soil.”

In July, Senator Marshall hosted a roundtable with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, and farmers, ranchers, and agriculture experts from across the country to discuss how regenerative farming and soil health can connect the Make America Healthy Again movement with agriculture.

The latest MAHA report, released on September 9, 2025, emphasizes soil health as a critical component of addressing the childhood chronic disease crisis and improving overall public health. It also advocates for regenerative agriculture to enhance soil health.
