Senator Marshall Applauds the Trump Administration’s Successful, America First Trade Negotiations

Washington – On Tuesday, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas) released a statement applauding President Trump for his successful trade negotiations, which are giving American businesses improved access to foreign markets by removing both tariff and non-tariff entry barriers. These trade deals are also securing record investments in American businesses and industries, and will help onshore critical manufacturing and supply chains long term.

“The success of President Trump’s strategic application of tariffs cannot be overstated. In utilizing reciprocal pressure to create fair trade with other nations, we have given Americans – especially Kansas farmers and ranchers – access to critically important export markets for our world-class products and goods,” said Senator Marshall.Kansas will not just feed the world; we will fuel it too. By securing these trade deals, we’re re-establishing American national security, economic prosperity, and our standing internationally. The so-called experts didn’t believe this could happen – but those who trust President Trump know that this is the Art of the Deal in practice.”

The Trump administration, to date, has negotiated trade deals or trade frameworks with the European Union, South Korea, United Kingdom, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines. Deals are currently in negotiation with America’s largest trading partners, India, China, Mexico, and Canada.
