Senator Marshall Continues His 100-Stop Tour Across the State

Wichita – This week, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), as part of his 100-stop tour, visited community organizations and local businesses in Eastern and Central Kansas, including Envision National Headquarters, Meals on Wheels, Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, the Veterans Affairs Center in Leavenworth, Kansas, and the bicentennial celebration of Council Grove, Kansas.

Highlights from the visits included:

Envision

Senator Roger Marshall visited Envision in Wichita to learn more about its mission and services supporting individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The visit highlighted Envision’s role in workforce development, innovation, and advocacy, aswell as its impact on veterans and underserved communities. Senator Marshall’s engagement underscored his commitment to supporting inclusive employment and accessibility initiatives across Kansas.

Meals on Wheels

Senator Marshall participated in a Meals on Wheels route, delivering hot, nutritious meals to seniors in the Wichita community. Proper nutrition is essential for people of all ages and the Older Americans Act provides funding to help organizations like Meals on Wheels ensure home-bound seniors still have access to proper nutrition.

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry

Senator Marshall celebrated the grand opening of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry’s new manufacturing facility in Maize. The $80 million facility will produce PVC pipesused in plumbing and irrigation across the U.S. Senator Marshall highlighted this asa major win for Kansas manufacturing and infrastructure.

Leavenworth Veterans Affairs Center

At the Leavenworth Veterans Affairs Center, Senator Marshall toured the newly renovated women’s clinic, emergency department, and eye care clinic and spoke about future VA infrastructure projects in Eastern Kansas.

Council Grove Bicentennial Celebration

Senator Marshall also spent time at the Council Grove bicentennial celebration with members of the community and spoke about the town’s rich frontier history.
