Senator Marshall Joins Republican Colleagues in Introducing Resolution Recognizing National Veterans Small Business Week
Washington – On Tuesday, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), joined a bipartisan group of Senate colleagues in introducing a resolution declaring November 3 through November 7, 2025, as National Veterans Small Business Week, honoring the men and women who served our country in the American armed forces and now serve their communities as small-business owners.
“Our nation owes the men and women who served our country a debt that can never be repaid, and today’s resolution is a small way to recognize their contributions to their communities and the great state of Kansas,” said Senator Marshall. “We thank these hard-working men and women for being part of the backbone of America’s economic engine – small businesses.”
In the last three months, Senator Marshall has visited several veteran-owned small businesses in Kansas, including Wellhead Systems in Hill City and Cox Airparts in Wichita.

RESOLUTION
Recognizing the week of November 3 through November 7, 2025, as ‘‘National Veterans Small Business Week’’
Whereas the Armed Forces of the United States train individuals with the skills, discipline, and leadership necessary to establish and operate a successful business;
Whereas there are over 1,650,000 veteran-owned small businesses in the United States, employing nearly 3,300,000 individuals;
Whereas veteran-owned small businesses make up nearly 5 percent of all businesses in the United States;
Whereas veteran-owned small businesses account for more than $952,000,000,000 in total sales every year;
Whereas the Small Business Administration hosts events honoring National Veterans Small Business Week from November 3 through November 7, 2025;
Whereas the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship of the Senate celebrates National Veterans Small Business Week during the week of November 3 through November 7, 2025; and
Whereas the week of November 3 through November 7, 2025, would be an appropriate time to celebrate National Veterans Small Business Week:
Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the Senate —
- recognizes the week of November 3 through November 7, 2025, as ‘‘National Veterans Small Business Week’’;
- supports the goals and ideals of National Veterans Small Business Week;
- recognizes the importance of creating policies that promote a business-friendly environment for small business owners that is free of unnecessary and burdensome regulations and red tape; and
- expresses appreciation for the continued service to the United States by the veterans of the United States through small business ownership and entrepreneurship.
