Senator Marshall: Serving Kansas Doesn’t Stop During a Shutdown

Washington – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), reminds Kansans that even on day 21 of the full government shutdown, and while some federal offices may close their doors or scale back operations, his offices are open and all staff have been deemed essential to continue working for Kansans.

“Whether you are a farmer navigating USDA programs, a veteran in need of assistance, a federal worker who’s been furloughed, or a senior who relies on Social Security, my office is here and ready to help,” said Senator Marshall. “The everyday needs of Americans are not put on pause when Democrats abandon their duty of government funding – and that is why constituent services have always been, and will continue to be, one of my top priorities. Our doors are open, our phones are on, and we will continue to serve Kansans – shutdown or not.”

Constituents are encouraged to visit marshall.senate.gov to learn more about the services available through Senator Marshall’s office, including assistance with federal agencies, Medicare enrollment, passport issues, and more. Contact information for both the Washington, D.C., and Kansas offices can also be found on the site.

Kansans with questions or in need of support are urged not to hesitate to reach out. Senator Marshall and his team remain committed to working on behalf of all Kansans throughout the duration of the shutdown.
