Sen. Marshall Announces Almost $700,000 Grant for Colonel James Jabara Airport

(Washington, D.C. May 14, 2021) – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. today announced $691,532 in federal funding for Colonel James Jabara Airport.

“Airports throughout our state provide essential services and expand business opportunities for Kansans,” said Senator Marshall. “Through this grant, the Wichita Airport Authority will be able to construct a new taxilane to connect a hanger on the Colonel James Jabara Airport property. This major improvement will allow the airport to better serve the greater Wichita community, and I’m glad to see this type of investment in our airports.”

Background:

This grant is funded by the Federal Aviation Administration. The funds will be used to construct a 400 foot taxilane to connect a new hangar area in the non-movement area.
